If you haven't experienced Nights of Lights before, it's quite a magical event!

The entire city and travelers from all around gather at the Plaza de la Constitucion in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine to participate in this holiday kickoff celebration. Over 2 million holiday lights are strewn about surrounding shops and oak trees, monuments and traffic lights. The lighting extends from historic downtown all the way to the beach. The underlying philosophy is to turn St. Augustine into a Winter Wonderland!

Mayor Joe Boles will be the man behind the switch, leading the commencement and initial lighting of this 16 year tradition. According to St.Augustine.com, over 70,000 tourists are expected to visit the holiday spectacle, spanning from November 2009 through February 2010.
